Pete loves it of course, new women in the house, hee hee hee. Next thing you know I'll cut it all off after the baby comes! Heck did that one month after getting married 7 yrs ago but I'm a sucker for a big FAT paycheck for being a hair model.

Haven't been red for at least 5-6 years.

Almost looks a lil pinkish here o_O!!! But I'm sure that would be my expensive crappy Nikon digital camera that I'm going to replace ;p

Oh my Belly (17weeks)

OK, I'm not sure but I feel like my belly is going to explode today o_O

I think I'm carrying low (apparently a sign of a boy), it feels like you have to pee really bad, all the time! And yes I have to pee really bad ALL the time, LOL! The pressure it constant and I measured (after dinner) and it said 35 inches o_O !!! I normally get an extra inch after dinner, hee hee hee (carbo loading for 2) and about one or two weeks ago I was at 33 inches. But just to throw you for a loop one wife's tales says that it's a girl if the belly got bigger before your butt, which is still the same =D So that means I still have a 50/50 chance of a boy or a girl =)

Peanut weighs about 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and is around 5 inches long.

We have been talking about names and I should find out how I can do a poll or take suggestions for names but here are a few we have



Boy

Talan (D&D character Pete had in high school)

Chase (Pete likes the names ever since he heard it on the TV show "House")

Alexander (Scottish family thing on my side)



Girl

Taylor (my dad's middle name and I've always wanted to use it)

Alexandria (female vs. of the Scottish family thing, lol)

When I saw Pete's list he had Leroy on it and I thought I was gonna have to kill him, after all no kid of mine is gonna be called Leroy (ever heard of Leroy Jenkins?) and Pete's theory was "bad, bad, Leroy Brown" OH DEAR GOD! He did tell me he was joking to tease his mom, whew, that was a close one.

Let me know if you have a good name for us =)

Ultrasound

Peter and I went for the first ultrasound tonight. Was very cool, if you don't take into the fact that you have to have a full bladder and I had to pee for about 2.5 hours but your not aloud and you have to keep drinking more fluids o_O !!! I seriously have no clue how I did not pee my pants. I've gone from being the Queen of holding it to "I have to pee NOW" and running for the loo, lol.

We got to see a very nice side shot of the baby (HOLY HUGE HEAD!) takes after it's father already, hee hee hee. The technician got a full on frontal view of the baby's face and the baby had it's hands up beside the it's face and was sooo funny looking. Good news is there was only one baby so no twin =) whew!
















OK, I now it looks like it may be a boy but it's just the umbilical cord ;)

I took a picture of the picture to upload the shots. You can see it's fingers, nose, eyes, heart (140 bpm), spinal cord, umbilical cord, thigh bone (looked more like a piece of toothpick), brain matter and bladder but no bits (we have a yet to know the sex of Peanut). They were also able to tell by the size of Peanut that my due date of May 2, 08 is correct.





Funny, Pete's still looking for the beer can in Peanuts hand, hee hee hee, after all it is his child!
He wanted to have one superimposed in the picture, ROFL.

We went for a very nice dinner to celebrate seeing our little bundle of joy for the very first time =)

First OBGYN appointment!

(Well I got to met the man in charge of Peanut & me for the next 26 weeks plus of the pregnancy and he's really cool so I think I'll stay with him, doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes, LOL.

Basically he said, and I quote, "your one of my typical tall skinny white girls"... with my body type that it should be an easy pregnancy and that even the delivery should be fairly easy. Due to my frame I won't get very big and when I'm almost at full term he said I could be sitting next to someone due the same time as me and they could be almost double my size! The down fall of it is I do risk having a 8 pound plus baby cause I'll be ALL Baby. He also recommended the drugs... this was a funny moment as he said "why suffer when we have drugs, I recommend you take the drugs". Drugs being the epidural at delivery time, why suffer when they can make it a more pleasant experience. This sounds tempting when he said 8 plus pounds! o_O

So just when I thought it was all done he took me into an exam room and checked my blood pressure and then my tiny lil belly and then I did not even know but he put the Doppler on my belly and you could heat the baby's heart beat, Soooooo cool. 144 beats per minute so a good strong hear beat. For those of you into wives tales a faster then 140 heart beat is suppose to be a girl. Only heard one so hopefully there will be no surprises when I go for my ultra sound on Tues. I'm so gonna bring Pete cause it was cool. Got a lil teary eye'd, you can laugh at me, I'm used to it or throw up cause i'm a suck, LOL.
