Memories of a Grandmother...

One year ago we said goodbye to Nate's Grandma Sharon, my mom. It's hard to think that she did not get to read or see all the fun stuff Nate is doing but at least she had the joy of meeting him and spending sometime with him before she left us. I pray that she is looking down on him with smiles and love as she was so excited to welcome him into this world as he brought her so much joy. We miss her dearly and are so thankful for the pictures and video's we have of the two of them together.

Such a BOY!

Well Nate is definitely showing signs of being a true boy, maybe even a contractor? With all the reno's under way, new kitchen and bathroom he has a few new favorite toys... Daddy's power tools. Especially the drills! He points and makes a "vroom vroom" when he sees them. He LOVES to play with the power cords... *sigh, I think I'll suffer a heart attack early with this kid. Pete bought him his own set of plastic power drill, so cute but he does enjoy playing with it but if he sees Daddy's he tosses his aside and goes for the big ones, HA HA HA! Maybe we can hire him out as cheap labour??? Okay, maybe not but it sure is cute.

One of the many joys of having a little boy is all the bumps and bruises. Currently he looks like his forehead has been hammered... YUP! My son is following in my foot steps and is a head banger and NOT the Rocker kind either. Within about 24 hours he has managed to slam and when I say slam I mean SLAM his head into his crib rail and then later the plastic tool box to leave a few very pretty bruises. God someone is gonna think we beat him. OH yeah and he somehow scratched his forehead with the corner of his new book and that looks real pretty. Hmmm... maybe we should take a picture for when he is older? Well being a Taurus is showing his strong will and oh yeah the best part... TEMPER! I'd normally swear here but I'm working on my potty mouth as he is picking up words up fast furious and that's the last thing I need for him to share at daycare or anywhere for that matter, ha ha ha.
